Hermitage is one of the largest museums of the world. But it is also the magnificient Royal palace with the stunning rooms and unbelievable views. The collection began as the project of Catherine the Great in 1764. Now ist's the temple of art, where you can see the works of Raphael, Titian, Rembrant, de Goya and many other prominent painters from all over the world. Treat yourself with a grand exploration of the most amazing masterpieces of the European Art, including the French Impressionists, and marvel at the amazing interiors of the Tsar's Winter Residence - the Winter Palace.
The newly restored General Staff building houses the part of the Hermitage art collection, specifically beautiful works of art of the 19th and 20th centuries, including French Impressionists & Post-Impressionists.

Your tour covers the main buildings of the museum: the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage, and General Staff Building. With your guide, see the state interiors of the Winter Palace, the most glorious czar residence in Russia, started by Empress Elizabeth I and finished under Catherine the Great's rule. Explore works of art collected by the Imperial family and carefully saved from destruction by the staff of the museum during World War II; admire the highlights of the 15th- to 18th-century European collection by masters such as Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Veronese, Tintoretto, and Tiepolo; and check out the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collections.
Other sights include the Peacock Clock of the Small Hermitage and multiple galleries of French, Italian, and Dutch art. Throughout your tour, your guide is happy to answer any questions and, if possible, can make detours to accommodate your special requests. (Note, the Hermitage Theatre is not available for tours.)
