Molli Steam Train is a small steam powered train that runs down the 15 kilometer long track from the Baltic sea cost towards Rostok. Within Bad Doberan the line runs through the street, and later along a linden tree-lined avenue. It's a great experience to take this little cozy train for a slow ride along the spectacular sea beaches or gorgeous countryside. When the winter time comes, the trains are replaces with "Mollibuses" that run along the same route.

St. Mary's Church or Marienkirche, on Ziegenmarkt, is an imposing 13th century Brick Gothic church. Inside there is a unique astronomical clock built in 1472 by Hans Düringer.

The remains of the old City Wall can be found in different areas of Rostok's old town. The traditional medieval fortification structure used to protect the rich Hanseatic city from the invasions.

Kröpeliner Straße is Rostok's main pedestrial street, that begins at the historical Market square and runs eastto the 14th-century Kröpeliner Tor, a former town gate. All Rostok's important buildings can be found around this street, including the University and Town Hall. The buildings of the street are colorful and feature the different styles, like baroque, gothics, neo classical and other. The funny fountain called Zest for life (Brunnen der Lebensfreude) can be found in the middle of the street, in front of the University building.

Kröpeliner Tor is located in the east end of Kröpeliner Straße. It's one of the oldest remaining gates of Germany, dating to 1270. The observation spot on the top offers the greate panorama of the city center.

One of the most picturesque places in Rostock is the New Market Square, with the Town Hall. The square has preserved six original, carefully restored gable houses from the 15th and 16th centuries. The other historical houses in Hanseatic style that once bordered the square were destroyed in an Allied air-raid in 1942, and rebuilt in a simplified manner

Rostok town hall was originally built in the 13th century in Brick Gothic style, but extensively transformed in the 18th century, with the addition of a Baroque façade and a banqueting hall. It's one of the town's main attrections, reminding of town's "golden" Hanseatic age.

Founded in 1419, it is the third-oldest university in Germany. It is the oldest and largest university in continental northern Europe and the Baltic Sea area, and 8th oldest in Central Europe. Throughout the 15th century, the University of Rostock had about 400 to 500 students each year, a large number at that time. Rostock was among the largest universities in Germany at the time and many of its students also came from the Low Countries, Scandinavia or other states bordering the Baltic Sea. Currently with 10 faculties and students from 99 different countries Rostok University is a famous school which raised numeros Nobel prize winners.

Kuehlungsborn - a lovely small town with beaches along the Baltic sea, lively streets and colorful shops, many hotels and cafes. It was one of the first seaside resorts to be founded in Germany, dating back to the 1860s. In summer times many people rent one of the traditional Strandkorb on the beach, a special chair which is a covered from wind and sun.

09:00 Meet your guide by the ship at pier. Narrated drive to Rostock.

Panoramic driving tour of Rostock, followed by old town walking tour including town hall, boulevard, university, town wall & gates, monastery, merchant’s homes
Inside visit to St. Marien Church with astronomical clock and continue guided walk

11:45 Transfer to lunch venue. Lunch at a local german cafe/restaurant (included). For example, sausages with sauercraut and 1 beer.
13:00 Transfer to Bad Doberan and inside tour of the medieval Doberan abbey.
14:30 Enjoy the ride on Molli Steam Train to Kuehlungsborn
15:15 Panoramic driving tour of Kuehlungsborn, a lovely beach resort town with colorful promenades, lively shops, many hotels and cafes.
15:45 Time on your own to explore this charming place, enjoy some more beer or a cake and a cup of tea/coffee (not included).
17:00 Return transfer to Warnemuende
