The Lumiere Brothers Photography Center (Moscow, Russia) presents an exhibition of Harry Benson, known for his photographs of The Beatles of 1964-1966. It was these years that became the most important for the entire career of the Liverpool Four, the most productive and successful. The exposition will include iconic shots of the Beatles. Among them, the Pillow Fight (1964), included in the list of 100 Most Influential Photos by Time magazine. In addition to the pictures of the Liverpool four, the exposition consists of portraits of famous people of the 1960-1990s - politicians, athletes, musicians, actors. The exhibition will be open until January 19, 2020.

Today in the Manege Hall of the Small Hermitage, a large-scale archaeological exhibition “Gods, People, Heroes” was opened, organized jointly with the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. Visitors will be able to see the works of ancient art from Pompeii and Herculaneum. These cities were completely destroyed in the I century as a result of the eruption of Vesuvius. Guests will see more than 200 items: murals, mosaics, sculptures made of bronze and marble, objects made of glass and ceramics, bronze products.
The exhibition will be open until June, 23rd.

Ginza Project presented their concept of abandoned greenhouses renewal in the Tavrichesky Garden on the corner of Potemkina and Shpalernaya streets. Being destroyed for many years since the Soviet era, with an area of more than 26 thousand square meters. the space will be radically rebuilt and transformed into a modern public space with recreational, educational and gastronomic zones. The place is still seen as a concept, however local authorities are looking into developing this concept into a real project.

Dumskaya street will make a pedestrian zone on weekends and public holidays. The decision was made by the administration of the Central District of St. Petersburg. "Pedestrian Zone" and "Parking is prohibited" signs will be installed across the street, these will be valid along the entire length of the street. This street was known for the pubs and nightclubs located on it, and this decision was quite reasonable, officials said.

On April 12th, in the Benois Wing of Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, an exhibition of works of Russian art will be opened: the Paleevic family, the Berezovsky family and the Naumov family will showcase their private collections to the public. These collections began to take shape more than 40 years ago, even during the Soviet times. On April, 11th, in the Lower Park of Peterhof, the technical launch of fountains was held. Shortly before that, a snowfall covered St. Petersburg and its suburbs. Weather forecasters noted that “winter has returned to the city for a couple of hours”. Russian Railways will launch brand-new high speed Sapsan trains with an updated interior in honor of the ten-year high-speed train launch in Russia this winter. So far, the updated design of the train is at the development stage, while already in December the improved train have to start running. When updating the interior, Russian Railways will take into account most of the passengers' proposals. However the design is still being kept in secret, it is known that additional sockets will be added, the brightness and color of the lighting will change, and the seats will become more comfortable. In addition, Russian Railways plan to build new private areas inside the cars, and the tenth car will feature a playroom for children.

On March 24, a new skate park with an area of 600 square meters in the Sevcable Port cluster on Vasilyevsky Island will be opened.

Russian government has approved the construction of high-speed railway from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod. The cost of the transport way is estimated at 621.5 billion rubles, of which 200 billion will be allocated from the budget, and Russian Railways will provide 200 billion RUB more. The rest of the money will come from private investors. It is possible that the authorities will decide to extend the route to Kazan, then the costs will increase to 1.7 trillion rubles.
