gogol bordello st petersburg shows in february and march 2014 Catch Gogol Bordello in St. Pite\’s in March. Moustaches optional.

A range of musical stars are gracing St. Petersburg with their presence this month and next so if you’re after boy bands, heavy metal, classical, or techno while you’re on your St. Petersburg city tour, let Ulko Tours know so you can be sure to get tickets early.

Next week the phenomenal Sarah Brightman will be performing at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall (Ligovsky Ave, 6, St Petersburg, Russia, 191036). The English classical soprano, actress, songwriter and dancer performs in a startling array of languages, including Russian, so make sure to catch her at on the 18th February.

Also performing at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall, on the 19th February, is Kitaro, a now legendary Japanese New Age guru. With a career spanning forty years, Kitaro is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed, composed and arranged pieces for international audiences, acquiring Grammys and Godlen Globes along the way.

Not quite a multi-instrumentalist but certainly considered one of the leading bassists in contemporary jazz, Avishai Cohen performs on the 4th of March as part of the Avishai Cohen Trio. Tickets are still available for the show at the Aurora Concert Hall but be quick as his earlier London shows sold out.

Something for the Young at Heart?

On the 27th, the teenagers in your party, or maybe those reliving their youth, might enjoy going to see the Backstreet Boys at the A2 Club. The best-selling boy band in history, The Backstreet Boys have sold over 130 million records worldwide and this time Backstreet’s Back Alright in St. Petersburg.

Perhaps for some of you the abiding teenage icons look a little less slick and box-fresh and a little more like the more grizzled Depeche Mode. Lucky for you then that the band is also performing in St. Petersburg soon. Gracing the stage at the SKK Arena on the 4th of March, with support from Diamond Version, the band shows that you’re never too old to produce weird electronic noise for long-time fans and newbies alike.

Other highlights this month and next include appearances by:
