Moscow park revolution began with Gorky Park renovation by Wowhaus buro in 2012. Since then, the park has become one of the most visited places in Moscow. However, it’s not the only infrastructure enhancement done by the authorities: they not only reconstruct the parks throughout the city, but also build new ones.

The turning point was the autumn of 2017: “Zaryadye”, “Krasnogvardeyskie ponds” and “Gorka”, which immediately became the main attraction point in the Kitay Gorod district. In this article we are going to show some photos of Moscow parks in summer.

Tyufeleva Roscha Park

On a former factory territory, a new living complex is being built. This park is going to be a part of it. It has been designed by Jenny van Eyck, a famous architect from the US.

Krasnogvardeyskie Ponds Park

Reconstructed by Wowhaus, this park has been opened in 2017. Receiving an Archiwood award prize in Urban design category, this park is being considered the best local green area in Moscow.

Park Gorka

Having a very similar name to Gorky Park, it is a much smaller green oasis in the urban jungle of Basmanny district. In the daytime children come here to play in the playgrounds, in the evening athletes come to the basketball field, at night the amphitheater and lawns are occupied by teenagers and students who enjoy the views of evening city together.

Zaryadye Park

The most central of the parks in Moscow, its facilities occupy more than 78,000 square meters, of which 25,200 square meters are now occupied by a multipurpose concert hall. The park also has underground parking for 430 cars. The first new park in Moscow for over 50 years, it cost more than $480 million. Zaryadye also features a floating bridge over Moskva river, a view over Kremlin and a food court.
