How did St. Petersburg survive the floodings in the XXth century

On September 27th night, the city on Neva has faced a new challenge: flooding & storm all over its territory. We, along with Bumaga (paperpaper.ru), have decided to show you, how the city on rivers has survived the floodings during the last century.

During the XXth century, St. Petersburg has dealed with more than 130 floodings. In 1924, the water in the rivers & channels has risen up to 324 cm. Karl Bulla, Sergey Kipyatkov and other photographers have managed to capture the most epic moments of the storms in the northern capital of Russia.
