Best coffee to taste in the northern capital of Russia

St. Petersburg is so much about romantic atmosphere not just because of bridges, palaces and rainy weather. It is also thanks to a huge number of coffee shops situated all around the city center.
One of our managers decided to help you with finding the one for you, if you are in Saint P. for the first time.

1. The Doris Day – a coffee place in Golitsyn Loft space on Fontanka River Embankment, 20. The Doris Day is situated in the former chimney room of a luxury apartment on the second floor of the Loft. Baristas here are proud of their cheesecake – but they only bake it in the morning, so hurry up if you want to taste it!

2. Gran CoffeeGrán is a must-visit coffee shop if you are a fan of quality coffee. Situated very close to Spasskaya/Sennaya Ploschad/Sadovaya metro stations, it offers you the best espresso in town, according to local coffee bloggers.

3. Civil Coffee Bar – one more coffee shop in Golitsyn Loft space. The team here is not really into coffee-based drinks, they only serve clear coffee: espresso, americano, raf and latte. The view over the Embankment, however, is marvellous and can easily make your impression about the city so much better!

4.  I’m Thankful For Today – a perfect place for a lazy morning breakfast. Situated just between Griboyedova Quay Embankment and Gorokhovaya street, this cafe is beloved by local hipsters and also offers a great variety of food served.

5. Babe’s bakery – a small bakery and coffee shop situated really close to Nevsky prospekt. You wouldn’t sit here for a long time, however the coffee served seems to be one of the best in the town, according to our manager’s opinion. Baristas are unusually friendly and can easily handle a small talk in English.
